There are 2 of these contraptions in our local area. I've never seem this one being used, gut the other one has had sheep going through it in the last 12 months.

Rusty and worn with a bit of rope for Isabel!! When I was a child they used something similar to send the sheep through the sheep dip so imagine they are for herding livestock through. perhaps for testing? Well captured Amelia
