Love both... but less and less fish in the sea, more and more pollution, plastic, ghost nets...

Amelia replied to Xata:

I have to agree with you, Isabel. On the east Coast of Scotland herring, known as 'silver darlings' used to be very plentiful, and an excellent source of food. Trawling has put a stop to that and now we have plastic pollution with the nets and 'ropes' on the creels, plastic buoys and containers, and fine plastic nets exacerbating the problem. Humankind has so much to answer for. For two years it was discarded masks and test kits. Now it's plastic bunting. Will we never learn?

Two terrific shots Amelia. Lovely composition with a sneaky peek at the boat in the harbour and I love the colours of the rust. The PiP is beautiful with a great sky.

Unfortunately commercial interests prevail and will prevail, I guess. Anyhow already too late...

Two superbly detailed shots Amelia............I love this sort of fishing-related-equipment and even when it's old, tangled and rusty because as you've shown it can be really photogenic.

I especially like the lobster pots in the main image and the rusty anchors.
