Available Felines 2/4/18
Please consider opening your heart and home to the following fabulous felines.
Elvira* (ADOPTED)
The plush, gorgeous Elvira arrived a frightened feral, but she has been completely won to me. Elvira is warming up to trusting visitors but still initially wary of them. Food definitely helps, and she will come out for loving. This beauty has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Elvira is approaching a year old and is available for adoption for $50.
Quibble & Kibitz (ADOPTED)
Quibble & Kibitz are a pair of siblings who were part of a TNR project but were felt to be too friendly to send back outdoors. Took quite a while to win their hearts, but both soak up affection. Kibitz is more confident than her brother, and she will come out for loving from strangers. Quibble sits back and watches his sister. They have been neutered and spayed, vaccinated against rabies and distemper, and tested for FIV/FeLV (both negative). The pair is available for adoption for $100.
Gazpacho & Celeste (ADOPTED)
Gazpacho & Celeste are a marvelous pair of felines guesstimated to be 2-3 years old. They were unceremoniously dumped on an acreage together with their “sister” Zenobia. Gazpacho & Celeste are outgoing and confident. They arrived both fixed, and they have been vaccinated against both rabies and distemper. Both tested negative for FIV/FeLV. The pair is available for adoption for $100. If anyone has a heart to keep all three felines together, Zenobia would love to join her dear companions.
Zenobia (ADOPTED)
Zenobia arrived with Gazpacho & Celeste. Zenobia has been more frightened than the other two, so we have been keeping her separate to warm her up to her new environment. She's a sweet girl who soaks up loving, but she is frightened of strangers. Zenobia is spayed. She's been vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Zenobia tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She's available for adoption for $50.
Peabody (ADOPTED)
Peabody is a handsome young man, guesstimated to be 18 months old, who would love a forever home of his own. He arrived with his presumed brother Norman. The two lived under a deck for many months. Peabody has been neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. He tested negative for FIV/FeLV. This fella is doing much better than his brother at adapting to life with humans. He's available for adoption for $50. I'm sure his brother Norman would love to stay with him.
Norman
Norman is most likely Peabody's brother. They lived together under a deck for many months. While Peabody seeks out loving, Norman is quite reserved yet. Norman has been neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Norman tested negative for FIV/FeLV. He's available for adoption for $50.
Fia (ADOPTED)
Wee Fia is a precious 3-month-old kitten who is a bit nervous around strangers but extremely affectionate with her foster mom, sleeping tucked under her chin at night. Fia is intimidated by the 135 pound dog in the foster home, but she does well with other felines and a mellower dog. Fia does have a sensitive stomach and is a picky eater. Fia has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She needs to have a feline companion wherever she goes and would welcome her older brother Taurill. Fia is available for adoption for $60.
Taurill (ADOPTED)
Taurill has a luxurious coat and a gentle way about him. He was born in May 2017 per the homeowners. While he arrived feral, Taurill definitely loves affection and sleeps cuddled with his foster mom. He's been neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Taurill tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Taurill requires a patient, understanding human to help him transition into his forever home. He is available for adoption for $60. Taurill & Fia are available as a pair for $100.
Waif
Waif is an extremely rare feline as she is one who would do best in a safe outdoor/barn/shop environment. Waif is outgoing and affectionate, but she tends to be very mellow and doesn't seem to think it necessary to get up and go to a litterbox to relieve herself. As a result, we'd like a safe outdoor home for this loving beauty. Waif has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Waif is available for adoption for $50.
Avery
Avery is a lovely lady who is frightened of visitors. This beauty would need an understanding, quieter home where she is given a chance to blossom. Avery can definitely be loving and affectionate, but she also can be a bit of a bully with other felines. Avery has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Avery tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She is available for adoption for $50.
Mesquite
Mesquite recently figured out that she LOVES affection. Took a while to win her heart, but now she loves belly rubs. Mesquite has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Mesquite is available for adoption for $60.
Sizzle
Sizzle, approximately 8 months old, is a shy, reserved young lady. Adapting to a huge change in her life has been harder on her than her littermates. Sizzle has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. The beauty tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She is available for adoption for $60 but at this point requires a patient, understanding human.
Zillo
Zillo, such a hunk of gray long-haired goodness, may have been born in May as the homeowners indicated, but I believe that he may be 1-2 years old. Zillo arrived feral but has fallen for affection, welcoming belly scritches, purring away. Zillo has been neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. He tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Zillo requires a patient, understanding human to help him transition into his forever home. He is completing treatment for mange. Zillo is available for adoption for $60.
Tynnan
Tynnan is a confident young man, born in May 2017. He and his brother Taurill arrived feral, but they have been won over to the benefits of indoor living with humans. Tynnan has been neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. He tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Tynnan has been slower at falling for affection and requires a patient, understanding human to help him transition into his forever home. Actually, we believe an old trauma to his neck has left Tynnan unable to purr. He can't vocalize how much he enjoys affection thanks to that. Tynnan is available for adoption for $60.
Minx (FeLV+) (ADOPTED)
Adorable wee Minx was found in hedges near a highway, a friendly mite who was likely dumped. Minx was spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. She tested negative for FIV, but unfortunately has tested positive for feline leukemia. Thankfully she has not been symptomatic, merely carrying the virus. Hopefully she'll live a long, happy life. Minx is available for adoption for $50.
Violet (FeLV+)
Violet is a lovely two-year-old calico who has the misfortune of being positive for feline leukemia. Violet is energetic and outgoing, a loving, friendly girl. She does have chronic runny eyes, but otherwise this girl is doing quite well. She has been vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Violet would love a forever home of her own. She'd definitely enjoy having a fellow FeLV+ buddy. Violet is available for adoption for $40.
Miss Flick*
Three-year-old Miss Flick was trapped as a feral kitten. She has been undergoing socialization, but Miss Flick doesn't show well as she doesn't trust strangers. In general, although she can be picked up and has had her claws trimmed without incident, Miss Flick really isn't overly fond of having her four paws off the ground. Miss Flick has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Her guesstimated birth date is 9/2/14. She is available for adoption for $50 but requires a very understanding human.
MoMo
MoMo arrived into our care declawed. MoMo, now at least 11 years old, quite possibly significantly older, was found dodging cars scrounging for food in a grocery store parking lot. MoMo is a very quirky boy although his OCD tendencies are mellowing with age. MoMo does not want to live with other adult males although the adult females adore him and he enjoys kittens. MoMo used wee-wee pads instead of litterboxes when he arrived in our care. He has since had declaw salvage surgery to remove fragments of bone that plague him for years. MoMo now uses the litterbox to urinate but still prefers wee-wee pads for pooping. MoMo is neutered, dewormed, and has been vaccinated against rabies, distemper, and FeLV. MoMo's overall health has declined, but his labwork has all been normal. We are not sure how much longer the dear boy has, but he would love to have a devoted human to love him until his day comes. Adoption fee: $40. By the way, MoMo is hands down the best hugger in the house.
Lulu*
Lulu remains a timid girl, shutting down whenever visitors are in her area. She loves other felines, and she is fond of doritos, trying to steal them whenever they are eaten. Lulu is not for just anyone. She has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Lulu tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Lulu is available for adoption for $40.
Gingham (One Day Available for Adoption)
Gingham just arrived on 2/4/18, a young man with an upper respiratory infection. Gingham already readily purrs and enjoys affection. He's been vaccinated against distemper. He'll be ready for adoption once he is neutered, vaccinated against rabies, and tested for FIV/FeLV. Gingham is approximately 3 months old.
Frisbee (Reserved)
Frisbee is an outgoing, love-everybody, center-of-attention youngster who has some healing to do before he's ready to be neutered. You see, Frisbee was stepped on by a cow. His left front leg is quite injured, but we are seeing if he can keep that leg. Once all is said and done, this young man, whether he has 3 legs or 4, will be available for adoption for $60.
