Chiffon
Chiffon is a sweet girl, perhaps 3 to 6 years old, who is happy to be off the streets. Chiffon has come a long, long way. Chiffon is a quiet girl who would happily spend hours cuddling on the couch. She's very gentle, and tolerates other animals in the home but prefers to keep to herself. Chiffon tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She has been vaccinated against rabies and distemper as well as dewormed. This beauty uses the litterbox faithfully. She is spayed. Chiffon is available for adoption for $50.
Boboli
Boboli arrived as a scared, pregnant feral. After raising her own kittens, she fostered a couple more litters for us. This beautiful young lady (maybe 1 or 2 years old) has adapted wonderfully well to interacting with people. She has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Boboli tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She continues to thrive as she adapts to indoor living. Boboli is very food motivated, and that will work in her favor as she adjusts to a forever home. Boboli does fine with other felines and dogs. She has her favorites, particularly kittens. Boboli is available for adoption for $50.
Arlo (ADOPTED)
Arlo is a young man of approximately 9 months of age. He's a friendly, outgoing lad who loves everyone--human, feline, canine--and is not afraid to show it. Arlo rubs all over us and the other cats and the dogs This handsome fella has been neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper as well as dewormed. He tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Arlo does require that his forever human give him lysine twice daily (we just mix the powder form into his food). In time, that becomes unnecessary, but we don't know how long it'll take for dear Arlo. My guess is that he will be able to stop lysine soon. Arlo is available for adoption for $60.
Ellie
Ellie had a litter of kittens on a property, and by the time we became involved only one kitten remained (his guesstimated birth date was 11/7/14 based on what the homeowner knew). The pair joined us on 1/16/15. Ellie, albeit shy, had been around humans in the past (perhaps a barn cat?). She was spayed on 2/11/15 as well as vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Ellie tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She was treated for many, many months for a persistent ear infection. Ultimately, surgery was required to remove Ellie's left ear in order to remove a polyp that had blown out her middle ear. Surgery went beautifully, and Ellie is THRILLED to be free of the chronic excruciating pain that likely plagued her since kittenhood. Ellie has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Ellie LOVES other cats and ideally would like a home with at least one other good-natured feline. She is available for adoption for $50.
Arizona (SPECIAL NEEDS)
Arizona is the amazingly friendly, outgoing, loving momma trapped with her three kittens (Kanata, Phasma, and Dameron). She has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Sadly, Arizona tested positive for FIV. Thankfully, felines with FIV can live a long, happy, healthy life. FIV is not readily transmissible to other felines as it requires a puncture wound. As long as there is peace in the house, FIV+ felines can coexist with FIV- felines. A calm home would be best for her. No small, active children, please. Those overwhelm her. Adoption fee: $40.
Miss Farkus
One-year-old Miss Farkus was trapped as an older kitten along with her sisters. As they were all completely wild, they have undergone socialization. Miss Farkus loves human touch, and she is very food motivated. The beauty enjoys being carried around in her human's arms, purring up a storm. However, she remains nervous around strangers. We are working to help her overcome her fears. Miss Farkus has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies, distemper, and feline leukemia. She is negative for FIV/FeLV. Miss Farkus uses the litterbox faithfully, and she will do her very best to keep down the insect population in her forever home. Miss Farkus can jump four feet into the air to artfully catch a tiny moth between her front two paws. Impressive. Her guesstimated birth date is 9/2/14. She is available for adoption for $50.
Miss Flick*
One-year-old Miss Flick, like her sisters, was trapped as a feral kitten. She has been undergoing socialization. Thankfully, Miss Flick is more comfortable around strangers, willing to take treats offered to her by unknown hands. However, we are still working on getting her comfortable being picked up by others. While she can be picked up and has had her claws trimmed without incident, she really isn't overly fond of having her four paws off the ground. Miss Flick has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Her guesstimated birth date is 9/2/14. She is available for adoption for $50 but requires a home that is prepared to continue socializing her.
Whisper*
Whisper is a precious young man born in October. 2014 He has been neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. This beautiful boy LOVES to be pet. He was quite thin when he arrived and has been happily eating up a storm. Whisper has been dewormed and uses a litterbox faithfully. He tested negative for FIV/FeLV. He will need an understanding home to help him with the transition as Whisper will likely be nervous in a new environment. Whisper LOVES other felines and would like to have at least one other good-natured feline in his forever home. Of note, Whisper's eyes water when he eats leaving him with chronically stained fur on his face. Whisper is available for adoption for $50.
India*
India Pale Ale was trapped behind a bar in Prior Lake. India has been adapting well and seeks out loving. However, she is frightened of strangers. India will require someone with patience to adopt her. She has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. India tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Adoption Fee: $50.
Pandora
Pandora is an ~6 year-old girl who was returned to the rescue because she started hiding. Well, Pandora's teeth were literally rotting out of her mouth causing a great deal of pain. We had twelve teeth removed, and she has been coming back out of her shell. I am so happy for the girl. She definitely is still shy, and she requires an understanding forever home. Pandora enjoys cuddling on my lap and eats up loving, but she will need plenty of time to adapt to new humans. She is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. Pandora is available for adoption for $40.
Meadowlark
Meadowlark joined us as a pregnant feral adult on 5/13/15. She sadly rejected her litter (they were raised by Devonshire and adopted once 8 weeks old). Over time, however, she has been won. Meadowlark loves affection and greets me at the door whenever I enter the former feral room. Meadowlark will require someone with a great deal of patience who will allow her to acclimate to a forever home slowly. This beauty wins the hearts of visitors, and in spite of making the sort-list of many adopters, she is still waiting patiently for her forever humans. Meadowlark has been spayed and vaccinated against both rabies and distemper. Unfortunately, the beauty still contracted parvovirus. She will be ready for adoption again once she clears the virus. The virus cleared, confirmed by two negative tests. She's once again available for adoption for $50.
Jersey
Jersey is the momma of the ringworm crew (only Badger remains from her litter of five). Jersey underwent treatment for twelve weeks for ringworm. Now, finally, the infection is behind us. Then Demodex mites were discovered on her kittens. Jersey has now been treated with both ivermectin and lime-sulfur dips for three months. Jersey has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. This gorgeous, outgoing, affectionate momma tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Jersey is nervous around strangers, but she gives her heart to her human. Jersey is available for adoption for $50.
Blue Bay (ADOPTED)
Blue Bay is a gorgeous all-gray fella born to Calypso in the spring. This young man is a socialization project who has been showing steady progress. This dear boy loves loving, so he shrinks away from strangers but is drawn back by his desire to get loving. Blue Bay loves to cuddle with me, and he adores kittens. Blue Bay has been neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. He tested negative for FIV/FeLV. He is available for adoption for $60.
Matrix*
Matrix is another kitten born to Calypso in the spring. He is farther behind his two siblings in socialization, but he is progressing nicely. Matrix has been neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. He tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Matrix currently requires a home willing to work with him. He'll need a smaller space and someone willing to create positive associations (e.g., human = food, hence no human = no food). Matrix is available for adoption for $60.
MoMo (one day available for adoption)
MoMo arrived into our care declawed. MoMo, now approximately 9 to 11 years old, was found dodging cars scrounging for food in a grocery store parking lot. MoMo is a very quirky boy although his OCD tendencies are mellowing with age. MoMo does not want to live with other adult males (he will spray). He also at times prefers to use wee-wee pads over litterboxes. That has lessened considerably with time, but MoMo still falls into a special needs category due to his unusual litter habits. MoMo lives in his own room in our home (apart from other adult males). Thankfully, he enjoys female company as well as kittens. His room is our "kitten room" whenever we have kittens available for adoption in our home. MoMo is neutered, dewormed, and has been vaccinated against rabies, distemper, and FeLV. Adoption fee: $40. Please note: we are planning to have MoMo evaluated for declaw salvage surgery. This gentleman likely hasn't liked litterboxes due to paw pain, and we aim to eliminate that pain.
Mr. Grigsby (allergic to cat food)
Mr. Grigsby is a gregarious, outgoing feline. People who visit to choose a home often fall in love with his handsome looks, outgoing personality, and soft fur. However, he will need a special home. After all, Mr. Grigsby is allergic to standard cat food. He can have limited ingredient duck and pea without difficulty or, what we feed him, ground up chicken from Woody's Pet Food Deli. Of note, it isn't as simple as that. Why not? Mr. Grigsby is food obsessed. He will go after any food in the sink and even has figured out ways to open cabinets (now all have magnets holding them closed). This boy will tear into bags of anything left on the counter. We do our best to keep Mr. Grigsby away from anything that will cause him to react, but he manages to get into something every six to eight months or so. When it happens, he needs to have a steroid. His face swells and his paws swell. His lips ulcerate. If Mr. Grigsby doesn't get a steroid in time, his paw pads crack and his paws become secondarily infected thanks to the litterbox. Yep, it's best to catch it early. Mr. Grigsby requires a home that can medically care for an allergic reaction. An organized kitchen is a must, one where nothing is left out for him to devour. With all that said, Mr. Grigsby is definitely worth all the extra effort. He's been vaccinated against rabies, distemper, and feline leukemia. Adoption fee: $40.
Ninja (one day available for adoption)
Ninja has been a socialization project. Thankfully, this beauty has come a long, long, long way. Ninja arrived front-declawed and very pregnant. Her kittens were born on 8/22/15 and all have been adopted. Ninja has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. The beauty tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Ninja requires a home with experience with cats without other cats or dogs. Ninja will be available for adoption for $50 once she has her declaw salvage surgery to eliminate the terrible pain she has due to being front-declawed.
Munch (ADOPTED)
Munch is a heart-stealer, a playful ball of fluff who adores everyone. His motor is LOUD and STRONG and turns on instantly. This dear boy, unfortunately, had a cluster of seizures that all occurred within a twelve hour period. He has not had any seizure activity since that day and has checked out neurologically fine. However, we have made the decision to keep this boy until he is a bit bigger and stronger. In fact, we will wait until he is neutered to make him available for adoption. Munch will be available for $60 at that time.
Andouille (ADOPTED)
Andouille is an extra special young man who will be losing both eyes prior to adoption. Andouille is completely blind due to a severe eye infection, but he has not let that dampen his love of life or his drive to do everything other kittens do. Andouille will be neutered and vaccinated against distemper prior to being made available for adoption for $60.
Monkey (One Day Available for Adoption)
Monkey is a gorgeous young lady with a lot of love to give and an abundance of energy. This beautiful young lady has tested negative for FIV and FeLV not once but TWICE. However, we plan to test her one more time before she is available for adoption as her sister Taboo tested positive for feline leukemia. Monkey will be available for adoption for $60 once she is spayed and confirmed to be negative three months after last exposure.
Azizi (ADOPTED)
Azizi is a youngster found by a dumpster in -10F weather. In spite of being sickly, frostbitten, and emaciated, Azizi has been thriving in our care. Azizi already has a family planning to reserve her. She will be available for adoption for $60 once she has been spayed.
