Dear members and friends of ipernity,
1) Unwanted phishing emails.
Further to the precaution of putting up a warning in our top banner, the policy on ipermails for new members has been revised. From the previous limit of 10 different recipients allowed per day for the first week, it is now far more restrictive to impact the scammers, while data shows that this should not affect honest new members.
2) Upcoming Ipernity General Assembly. First, a date for your diary, if you are able to plan around it. Sunday 22 March 2026, chosen to avoid the adjustment to clocks in both Europe and America.Second, Andreas is stepping down from the role as Vice President. We'd like to take this moment to thank him for his support of ipernity including the booth at the in-person photography event.
Anyone interested in standing for election at the IGA can contact the team. You can read about what the job entails here.
Your ima team.

Just a thought but I think there should be a limit on the uploads any one person can do at one time, for example I find it off putting when I go onto the new posts page to that it is flooded by images that are all similar from just one person. I wonder how others feel about this?

So if you come across someone who repeatedly uploads in large quantities, you can block their account. You will no longer see those uploads on the 'New' page.
Our 'New' page is the only place where one can find what our whole community is doing. It is only modified for an individual by blocking an account.
This way, as is common on our website, each person can set up their pages as they desire without putting their personal choices on anyone else.

I have been in camera clubs where they have asked questions to members and it is a case of the majority rules, if you put the question out there and the majority agree then that is better than just blocking people.

If the team have discussed this before then it seems like it is a problem, what you are saying is you don't care, so....
