Because some find the z.gif annoying, I discovered a way to get rid of it on 'See all sizes' section. I added few lines on my Ipernity Dark style 2018 v1.0.
When using that dark style, one can right click on the image to open and save image.
In order to use that dark skin, one of course need a browser cabable to run Stylish extension (e.g. Chrome, Firefox), and then install the mentioned dark style.
And if someone finds this as "hacking", indeed it is. But keep in mind the "old" overlapping z.gif to prevent downloads without permission is very old school solution. Any user who knows something about HTML, and more sophisticated ways to use browsers, knows how to download images anyway.
This hack is only supposed to be used to help one to download images easier and quicker. You still need to respect copyright or principles of Creative Commons files!
Keep in mind the way better solution to protect one's image from illegal use is to decide what size of images your audience can access. People can still download the image, but only in rather small size.
On your Ipernity account settings one can change what size of images different users can access: 'Photos and other content > Maximum quality, download, embedded code > Edit the rules'. You can for example let anonymous users and guests see only rather small 800px images.

Other than hat as you say anyone with more than a vacuum in their head knows howto make a screen shot and many that know this are less than honest, that is to say they enjoy slealing other peoples work.
