[INTERVIEWS] Bigoode は雲の中に

With this post I start a hopefully long series of interviews to the most influential people and greatest photographers on Ipernity, a sort of ABC to start to known better our contacts.

SHINE ON!!! is his frequent call: who doesn't know it? Yes: I start the series with the most popular guy on Ipernity; his simpathy, in my opinion, is one of the Ipernity's value added.

Ladies and gentlemen: let me introduce you Mr. Bigoode!!!

Nickname: Bigoode

Real name: Anthony

Age: 28

Website: Ipernity, what else?

Town/nation: Le Touquet / France

Spoken languages: French, English,

Q. Tell us something about you and photography

A. Maitre Follace offered my friends to my 25th birthday to buy me a camera, a Sony DSC P73; in September 2007 I bought a Nikon D70 at low price from BAJY.

Both are friends, and on Ipernity. Without them, I wouldn’t be here.

Q. What are your preferred subjects and techniques?

A. Subjects, well: I have 3 directions in photography. First, I love nature (sea, trees, and clouds especially); then I want to archive my reality: I want to keep what I see as a document just for memory (especially building that will be destructed); and last, I love to give a dramatic, scaring, threatening feeling on some photos I'm making, to remind how we are small on earth ! and we should be more respectful of nature.

About technic, I don’t have any…

I don't like the perfect "image" some good artists create with Photoshop (that I'm learning to use): I prefer the reality hurting to a beauty hidding :)

Q. Are you a professional photographer?

A. I’m an amateur and I don’t dream to my OWN website, to sell my photos and became a new ARTIST; I’m a real estate agent. I make my work, but I’d like to change: after 4 years doing that, I have enough.

Q. What's your equipment?

A. Cameras: Sony DSC-P 73, NIKON D70, NIKON D40

Lenses: Sigma 10-20, Nikkor 50mm, Sigma 70-300, Nikkor 18-70

Q. When and where you started sharing your shots?

A. Middle of 2005 on Flickr, and then, they start to bother me I was the perfect flickrist, uploading, posting in groups, commenting, receiving awards (that I liked a lot because as a beginner - i'm still one - I wanted to see my "work" recognised ); then I realised, I was more on computer than making photos !

I still admit it's a good thing to motivate peoples who never touched a camera ! so it's good !

I left in May 2007, when I discovered IPERNITY. Then I had fun so much that I wanted friends to come, and some came and then we're all a big family, with argues, laughing, crying, and explanations, lessons, and learning, learning, and learning !

and that's cool

Q. Three preferred shots of yours?

A. You won’t trust me , but I don’t like my pictures…

Q. The three preferred photographers or bloggers on Ipernity (so I can interview them: it isn't a contest ;-) )

A. Only 3 artists I love? Wow ….it’s very hard I would say ….

Ying Tang (China),

Emile Zwaltek (France),

Tobitobi (Germany).

(and because i hate rules i'll give you more:

Graphistolage, Roberto Ballerini, Fred of Paris, franck oO, Scab, ChristopheQ, Maitre Follace, Stuart, Léa d'Ipernity (yes !!), and check all my "friends" on Ipernity)

Q. What are the features you'd like to see implemented/improved on Ipernity?

A. - Blogs able to be sent as topics in groups,

- Larger and more thumbnails on my home page,

- Open Ipernity to the Japanese !!

Otherwise, perfect!!!

Thank you very much, Anthony, and SHINE ON!!!
