Oh Mickey this is so sad. At least you had a wonderful life with Margaret and she gave you two fabulous children, she even taught you to cook!!!! As for your dad, yes I lost mine when I was 23 which was way too early - and I miss him so much. I would love to talk to him as an adult as I'd still been a youngster when I lost him. You had a wonderful life with your dad, I think you've taken on his mantle, the way you are with people. Have a couple of drinks to them tonight. Speak later. x

Sad blog Mickey. You were married a long time, and it sounds like you had many happy memories together.
My Grandfather, many years after his wife died, still used to say Goodnight to her at the end of each day and often talked about her - she died when I was barely a teenager. I sometimes 'talk' to my Mum who is still very much missed.
Hugs.

Your Margaret was a lucky woman to have someone who loved her so much. You were lucky for the time you had, though it never would have been long enough. Some people you love so much it can never be enough. A toast to them both..
