Not a lot has been going on really - but......
I've just realised that it's been a while since I last wrote a blog. Then I thought - well what's happened since then? Not a lot was the answer!!!

Well apart from the fact that poor Emily fell down some steps in her garden two weeks ago and it just happened when she was due to come to my house. There'd been a frantic phone call from her husband to tell me that she was in the A&E and that she wouldn't be coming up. It was in the evening before I found out that the poor girl had been stuck in the hospital for 6 hours!! Apparently she'd torn a tendon in her ankle - oww - and her foot was very swollen. Well it meant that she wouldn't be coming here for at least a couple of weeks.!!

Boy am I blessed with wonderful neighbours - Ann popped in to see if Emily had come over and when she found out what had happened, she immediately put my rubbish out for the next day's collection and then cut the grass!!! Two days later, Richard, another neighbour called here with a pressie of Baklava from Greece where he and his wife had just returned from a two weeks holiday and he'd brought his tool box!!! I wondered why on earth he'd brought that with him, and he said that he'd come to fit my new cooker for me!!! I'd got a new cooker about a month ago, but I was quoted an exhorbitant amount of money to have it put in, so I thought I'd wait until I could afford it. So within an hour, Richard had fixed it and it works beautifully. Then he and Peter (Ann's husband) proceeded to take away the old cooker!! Am I blessed or what?

I've been making more pendants - surprise, surprise. I keep experimenting with designs and colours etc. There are some I quite like and there are others that don't do anything for me actually!!!!

As you can see - I'm going through an orange moment!!! I must finish off the soft toy I'm in the middle of making for Ann and Peter's latest grandchild. Also my half finished patchwork quilt needs finishing off. Oh dear - I must sort myself out!!!!

Well that's about all really - Emily may be able to return next week, but I doubt it. I'm okay until she does come - there's only me here and I do try not to make much mess. It's those damn spiders making webs all over the plants that causes mess!!!!

Okay folks, I hope the week is kind to you and that you're not too cold. Where did the summer go eh?

Sorry to see Emily was injured, hope she's up and about very soon. Yes, your neighbours are wonderful! Glad they've been helping you out.

Some nice designs and colours there Jenny.

Thanks for the comment on the pendants. I've started to make the soft toy for my neighbour's new grandchild, which should also keep me busy!!!

Shame about Emily. Tendons take longer to heal sometimes than a clean bone break.
Lovely new pendants

Yes that's true. She thinks she'll be away another week, and with a bit of luck she'll be able to make it here. That'll be a month. Poor girl. Thanks for the pendants comment.
