I've managed new designs
Hiya folks, well I've not got a lot to say really - apart from the fact that I've hurt my ring finger on my right hand, so it makes typing quite difficult. I have asked my next door neighbour if his wife could pop in and have a look at it - she's a nurse. It's quite swollen and very hot, which makes me think there is some infection in there. Anyway I've tried to ignore it somewhat. Why is it that when you hurt yourself, that is the part of you that seems to search out for something to hurt it? If you know what I mean. I'm constantly knocking it and it hurts a lot. Anyway - apart from that - I've been making new jewellry!! What a surprise!!!!

I've got some new shapes to fill, and so I've been experimenting!!

I quite like the colours in these, I use the dried flowers in a kitchen ornament that's a bit broken, but the flowers come in very handy!!

Then I thought I might just try something different.....

Not too sure of these.....

I quite like these new ones with the different style of colours etc.....

I really like this shape - it lends itself to adding little pearls for decoration, when I ordered these shapes, I had hoped for larger ones to make into a necklace, but I'll have another look and see if I can find them.

Well all seagull chicks have left the room!!!! They all eventually landed on my porch roof, but only stayed a couple of days and then with a good flap of their wings, they took off. Now this is very unusual because they normally stay on the roof for about a month - so the parents must have taught them well - although to me they were very young indeed. Still they've gone but left enough poo dirt behind!!! Great - I'll have to get Emily to go up the ladder with a stiff brush and lots of water!! No hurry.

Well the hot weather seems to have vanished, we were down to 18C today, and it's 16C this evening. Mandi meanwhile in Turkey - is suffering through the low 40's all day!!! No middle bits is there?

I hope you all have a great week and the weather is just what you want. Take care though.

Hi there. I noticed your new shell shaped earrings onyour Facebook page earlier. They're very kool. I like them.
How did you hurt your finger? Is there any open cut? Don't let it go too long. It sounds infected and you too easily get sick. Careful please.

Thanks Gracie - I'm glad you like them, they did appeal to me I must admit. Gave me lots of different ideas.

I don't know how I hurt my finger. There isn't an open cut, but there's a part of it which is white, and the rest of the finger is red, swollen and hot. I'm sure it's infected, but I'm just waiting for my neighbour to pop in (she's a nurse) to tell me what to do and see if she can help me.

Hope you can get your finger sorted and healed very soon, don't let it go on without medical attention in case it is an infection Jenny.

Much cooler here too though Tuesday and Wednesday we did at least have a few hours of sunshine so I could dry laundry outside.

Oh that's way too hot. Hope it cools down soon for Mandi.

Thanks Fran - yes I will get it sorted out soon - it's rather sore and it makes it difficult to use my right hand!!

It's been so overcast these last few days with the temps just hovering around 18C which is bearable.
