Meanwhile I couldn't resist making more resin items - when will I get fed up doing it and return to my patchwork quilting?
I had Christmas Day all to myself, but I talked to Mandi on the internet, just to catch up on what she was doing on her special day (married 9 years) as well as it being Christmas Day, and she had some of her friends round and wine was flowing freely!!!! Now my son and his family came up to see me yesterday - I hadn't seen my daughter-in-law nor my grandchildren for a year, and it was about 4 months since I'd seen my son, Tony too. It was wonderful seeing them, but not being used to people around, and the children were bored, not being able to go to the beach (too cold and wet), that after a few hours, I was getting jittery and needing quiet. Luckily they all felt it necessary to go, as it was about a 2 hours trip back home. When it's just my son visiting, time goes by so quickly.
Well my wonderful son and family brought me a superb Christmas present. It's a "Portal" tv. I can give and take internet calls, and it has loads of apps (which I've still got to find out about) and there is someone called "Alexa" who I speak to and ask her to find me all sorts of things - it's an amazing piece of technology. Also the camera follows me around, it's honed in on my voice and my face!! A bit scary really - my own laptop is about 5 years old, and it's already old!!! This is a fantastic piece of equipment - I can hear Mandi so well on it and she can hear me. So I will have to go onto YouTube to find out more about how to use it.
Okay folks, I do hope you managed to have a good Christmastime and I wish you all a wonderful New Year. Let's hope this COVID19, with this Omicron variant will soon become less dangerous, that's as long as we all get vaccinated. The hospitals are full of COVID patients who haven't been vaccinated (wonder if it's made them realise that maybe they should have had the jab!) I really do hope that 2022 will be a good one for all of us.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE XXX

Oh I'm so glad you had a visit from family. Wonderful news. I can see though why visits don't need to be too long; after so long on your own it must have been a tad noisy.
That gift sounds great! Hope you get to use it often and talk with family more.
Oh don't get me started on people refusing vaccines than 'hogging' hospital beds because they caught Covid! Then there's the anti vaxxers who are vandalising vaccine and testing sites. Just when I think humans can't get any more stupid...

Yes I'm so with you regarding the anti-vaxxers. Our government should do what other governments do - stop people going into pubs, clubs, cafe's & some shops etc unless they can prove they've been jabbed. That should sort them out.

In regards to your question on my latest doodle, I'm not truly sick, I'm just affected by the pandemic like I was when it first took over. I get freaked out when I visit people's picture streams because I care about everyone and I get worried in a very illogical way. I have found that this terrible anxiety is shared by a lot of people which makes me feel better to know that I'm not just crazy and a total loser for not handling all of this better. Still, it makes me feel broken. Bottom line is that I have a lot of anxiety, worsened by doing what I love here--visiting everyone--and so I have to stay away and only visit a couple of folk once in a while. :( I'm so overwhelmed by it all, and it makes me feel foolish that I can't seem to deal with the news of this pandemic exploding all over the world yet again...
Ok, off I go! Love you oodles! :)
