Emily has helped put up the Christmas tree....
I am so blessed with Emily - who I call my daughter number two - as she carried this 6foot Christmas tree downstairs all on her own and then brought the tubs with the white and silver decorations in. We also sorted out the resin snowflakes I'd made and put them on the tree too. Then she put the bower on the mantlepiece.

I must admit - she's very quick and after a few years, she's learned how I think and proceeds to do what I would do, straight away.

So the fireplace looks quite festive and it took her about 5 minutes to tweak it to look right. Then she turned her attention to the tree.

I think white and silver looks okay - but I may decide to add a bit of red later!!!! I put a lot of my resin snowflakes on the tree too, so I'm pleased that they look okay. I'm giving a few away for Christmas presents to my friends - so they can add them to their Christmas trees too.

Then the last picture is the evening one - no daylight to keep it light. I hope everyone is starting to prepare for Christmas. I've written a few Christmas cards and Emily has posted them, now I've just got to write a few more for those nearby.

Then it's wrapping pressies time - I really do enjoy doing that - I just panic in case I've forgotten someone!!!! So enjoy yourselves - please stay safe and I'll be in touch again very soon.

Lovely Jenny! You are so lucky in her.. Its so nice to have the decoration up. The years we don’t host the holiday I still do it all even though few besides us see anything. I enjoy it so much as do you.
I soo wish I had a fireplace. Decorating that at Christmas would be first thing done!

Yes I'm blessed indeed. I had been hoping that Mandi would make it home this Christmas, and she would have decorated the tree etc - but she can't make it, so it was up to Emily. She says she loves working here - it's rarely the same each week!!! It's only going to be me this year, but like you say - it's good to still keep up the traditions.

Yes she's good at it all - although I usually put more baubles on it - maybe I'll get her to add some more when she comes next week.

Oh Jenny! Don't put too many baubles on it. The tree is beautiful in itself. Glad to see your 2nd daughter helps you.

Have a nice Yuletide, and take care.

Jenny McIntyre replied to Kimmo Ollikainen:

Thanks Kimmo - I only mean to put a couple of red baubles in amongst the white and silver just to give it a bit of pizzazz. Yes I'm so very lucky to have my second daughter helping me. As you've probably gathered, my son lives about 120km away from me, and my daughter is close to 5,000km away, so I don't see them as much as I would like. I do tend to rely on my second daughter I must admit - there again she calls me her second mum.
