The roofers have come!
Well at least they showed up around noon time. Took a look at the roof and said they needed some supplies and would be back shortly. I hope they do come right back. Sometimes when a contractor does that, it's the last you see of them! Since we are supposed to have a slushy rain all day and night tomorrow, I'd much rather the roof is done.. Then Rick doesn't have to pull everything out stored under the eaves and try to find the spot to put a bucket.. There is a LOT of stuff stored there!

Had to leave the lunch room with my guys again. Came back to my desk and ate alone..They are still doing all this gloom and doom. I really can't take it any more..The storm coming is basically some breezy very wet rain/snow mix.. Less than an inch total.. Winds only in the 20mph with gusts in the 30's.. But "Oh what if the trees are knocked down?" "What if the power goes out again". They drive me crazy with this as it's constant.. Bunch of old ladies with their panties all in a twist! I'm the one with the phobia and they are the ones that can't shut up about it! Not all, but several... Uggh..
Sometimes I think I'd like to retire now. I can't but I'd sure like to at times. Well, there's been rumors of layoffs again at the end of the year. If I was laid off I guess I'd take that as a sign.. Que Sera, Sera..

Yes from an old lady here - I protest against being lobbed in with those doomers and gloomers. They've had the bad stuff - anything after that is a breeze (no pun intended!!) Don't you know about being careful what you wish for??? I'm retired and although I'm enjoying it now - there is a lot to say about being inactive and not socialized!!

None of you are old ladies! Trust me!There's a lot more going for you than the doom/gloomers! And yup, they had no idea why I left them to their own rant and ravings! Duh is right!
Oh and they came back and my husband said they did a good job as far as he can tell. We'll see after the rain!

Blah, blah, blah.

Yes, I also can't stand wimps that grumble about a little mud in the road.
