Many lives - a story

« Hello – you’re looking past me -
then I’ll invite you – sit with me a bit -
you still have some time -
Alright – since you’re already sitting beside me -
then I’ll tell you a new story about Jan and Janina
which happened right here by the way:

Alright - then

Since the vision by the great waterfall
the symbol of eternal love and eternal life
certain changes have occurred with Jan and Janina .
They are rejoicing their love – are living more in the present -
and through a peculiar means
they became more conscious of their love and their life.

More often than before they
go hiking in their beautiful surroundings -

sometimes just for a walk.
Today as well – on a beautiful sunny autumn day
on a path high up with stunning views

onto their city and their river.
Brown leaves are lying on the path
and every now and the
n an acorn.

Jana sees a beautiful shiny acorn
She picks it up – and all of a sudden she has thoughts
like she has
never had before.
« Jan - look at what I have here»
« Well – an acorn, what else »
« Yes – and now have a look behind the railing »

« A few small oak trees
and – what is it you want to say »
« Look up -

an amazing big oak tree »

« I see it too -
but you probably have hidden thoughts in your mind »
« Yes, of course Jan - look – this acorn is from this tree
and almost every year it bears hundreds of fruits
from which new oak trees can grow
and – that is my question
Hasn’t this tree had hundreds -
maybe thousands of ancestors »

« Of course it must have had them »

« And.............. didn’t we have them as well -
You know – when I really think about it -

It must be easy for nature
to continuously allow something to grow »

« Yes – you may be right »

« You know - Jan – I’ve often thought about it -
couldn’t we have lived many different times as well »

« Oh - Janina – you’re asking questions
Honestly – I have trouble imagining something like that
but overall, you may be right -
why not – with nature’s wealth and multitude -
Maybe you’re right – maybe you’re not
But who knows that and who could we ask about it »

And both - in silence -
wished for the wise man to come.
Each is lost in their own thoughts
And sit on a bench, somewhat tired

The suns is warm – the dew is glistening
on the grass and leaves.

A gentle, calm and sunny autumn day.

So they are sitting on their bench
enthralled by the beautiful fluidity
of the surrounding nature.

« Hello – who do I see there »

Someone gently taps on their shoulder
Just a moment – they know this voice.
Right – behind them is the wise man
but he’s not alone.
Beside him is a woman who is smiling cheerfully at them.
They greet each other – a little surprised – but joyously -
and as usual, with a kiss on each cheek.
Jan and Janina invite them both – to sit with them -

« I wouldn’t be surprised »
with this the wise man begins
« if you both weren’t battling with a small problem again »
« A small problem – maybe for you -
we have a
big problem »
And Jan described
their problem

« You’re in luck » -
and smiling he looks over to his companion -
« this is someone I brought along

Oh – I forgot – to introduce her to you
She is my wife - but – unfortunately she doesn’t live with me -
yet she visits me every now and then
I believe – she can shine a little more insight into your problem »

______________________

« Well then »
with this the woman begins after taking a small break to smile
« I come from a, for you,
still largely unknown country -
In this country the people are
further developed than here in your country.
Many of the problems you have don’t exist there
There are no illnesses.
There are no wars and nobody has to go hungry.
The central understanding and behaviour of these people is:
Everyone helps the other in his personal development
- But that is just on the side -

And now to your problem
It’s difficult for you to believe
that you’ve had many lives
and what followed them -
and that you will still have many lives

Dear Jan – do you know –
who you really are
Dear Janina – do you know –

who
you really are You say -
I
am living
who or what is this
I
That is a very simple statement about very complex -
complex and extensive circumstances
You say
I think I feel
I am a man
I am a woman
If you were the size of an electron
you would view your body like a starry sky.
The largest part of you would be empty space
But is it really an empty space
Because that is not how you see your self With other words

You see yourselves
only from a certain perspective
- the
human one – on this planet

What may help you a bit further - is
what the physicists call a
field
you all know a magnetic field for example
I don’t want to go deeper into this
what your physicists call a quark -
a string or even a superstring
Many worlds are possible for them after all.
For them they are already reality
For them it’s just a question of time
- to find these worlds -
similar to yours
with their measuring instruments
In imagining this you can get dizzy

But you rightfully say
«What about
me
I am only fleetingly interested
in scientific knowledge - because

I want to live
I want to be happy»

Yet back to your question
" Have I had many lives "

I want to present an image to you
A person says to you
« There is not only your city -
There are more cities than yours -
and it's not just your country -
there are many other countries
so also many other worlds. »
«How do you know that » you will ask
« Well – I`ve been there » you get for an answer

And you either believe them
or disbelieve them
Each person has his own inner
type of seismograph
and this says either
yes or no
that may be possible or not
- if here -
then why not somewhere else in the universe.

I come from a different country
and I am telling you
you’ve already had
many lives
and you will have
many more lives
in your country and mine

Before your eyes you see
the immeasurable ab
undance of nature
the vastness of the universe
the large number of people
Isn’t it a great view
to discover the
new in life

And a result of this recognition will be
In this life you will live
much more relaxed
Just give it a try
with this knowledge that is new for you
if it is the truth -
you will
feel it
Because the truth speaks for itself »

And after a long silence she says
« By the way – I`ve known you for a long time
I`ve lovingly followed your lives from a distance
and will continue to follow your lives lovin
gly
even from a different world »

She smiles at the two of them and at her husband -
gets up – waves goodbye
departs and vanishes slowly from their sight.

Beside them sits the wise man

Jan and Janina look at him –
for a long time and with wide eyes.
At least
he is still there
« Do you believe all that »
they hear themselves asking
« Yes – I live in this truth
and I am very happy with it »
the wise man answers - quietly.

- The sun is warm -
- the grass and leaves glow -

- and the river and city shimmer in the light -

Now – you’ve listened attentively to this story.
Can you imagine
having lived many lives
and having many lives ahead of you.
Maybe you will answer with
« I am humbly starting to be able to - imagine that.
It would definitely be nice. »

Das ist ein Sonderfall, der nur für den Ausdruck still life / plural still lifes gilt. Normalerweise wird im Englischen beim Anhängen von Suffixen aus einem f ein v und bei life ist der Plural lives.
