I thought I'd bring season's greetings to you in my own special style, with a very special message. Now some feel that Christmas is just for the kids, but I disagree. There are parts of Christmas that can be enjoyed by an older crowd as well... particularly the Christmas Sex. Yeah, that's right. You can hear it in the Christmas songs we've been listening too for decades. It's amazing just how promiscuous they can be, yet sung with such innocence.
It all starts with a "sleigh ride together with you". Sure it doesn't sound too racy, but you can't deny the romance that can accompany a horse drawn carriage. Then the guy tries to get the girl back to her place where he wants to Let It Snow. I mean, let's face it: this is song is all about a guy trying to convince the girl to let him spend the night with her. And she doesn't seem to need all the much convincing. So, he takes off his coat and she puts a red hat on him. Why? So she can serenade him with Santa Baby of course. No explanation needed there as to why this song comes to mind. It's after this that the child of this single-mother-looking-for-love comes downstairs to find his Mommy Kissing Santa Claus. Christmas: It's always about the mistletoe ;)
So let's round this off with my favourite and least favourite Christmas Carol.
Favourite - Carol of the Bells. But only when it's sung a cappella by a choir.
Least favourite - I heard it just the other day, and can't remember the name of it. I think I've purposely pushed the tune from my head, hoping to never hear it again. So I'll have to go with my 2nd least favourite. A Wonderful Christmas Time by Paul McCartney. I don't know how this one became a classic.
Have a fun weekend everyone!
