Dear members and friends of ipernity!

1) Pam is on the mend. She can stand again with support, takes first steps and already eats soft food. It's scheduled to transfer her to a rehab center today. To stay up-to-date, please also follow the news Pam's friends publish regularly underneath the previous newsflash: www.ipernity.com/blog/team/4708924

2) About this misfortune our plea to write some nice words about ipernity in the various existing rankings has unfortunaly faded a little bit in the background. Nevertheless it's important for the prosperity of our community in the future. We therefore would like to remind you again to this topic. Here you may get directly to the rankings: www.ipernity.com/home/ranking

3) Our request three months ago to provide hitherto invisible content to all users as well as to random visitors from the Web had a rather encouraging resonance. To date more than 90 users made more than 140,000 entries visible again.

4) As it will take a few more days to prepare the removal of the remaining useless content and not all the affected users have read the notification e-mail yet, we are extending the deadline of our offer to Oct. 15th, 2018. Here you may get directly to the offer: www.ipernity.com/home/retournee-offer

From Clickty click

Hi! Just got this from Jay:

Pam is in the rehab facility, aka skilled nursing facility.

She will most likely be there for the next two weeks. Depending on her progress and what the insurance is willing to do, she may have another stay at an advanced rehab, aka inpatient rehab facility. Skilled nursing is low intensity 2 hours or so of PT per day. Inpatient is more intense with 4 or more hours of PT per day.

The facility is clean and bright with windows that look out on the front lawn. Everyone I met on the staff was friendly and supportive.

The address is:
Pam Johnson
Medical Park West, Room 605
3110 Healthplex Parkway
Norman, OK 73072

Pam is enthusiastic and working with the staff. Her motivation is that she wants to come home.

They are working on bathroom skills, standing, and using a walker.

They had to cut all her hair off because what was left was matted and tangled from the hospital stay.

She is back to talking in paragraphs when 3 or 4 words would answer most questions.

I dropped off her tablet, but she was having some problems. She knows what she wants to do, but she needs to relearn how to drive it. You may or may not get a note from her in the near future.

She is doing really well, I so know what she's going through and it's so strange having to re-learn to do things you'd been doing for all your life. It will come, but as long as she takes her time and not get too frustrated. I had to learn to breathe again - now THAT is weird!!! I still have times when I forget to breathe and end up gasping for air. Balance is a big thing, I've lost mine and after 12 years - I don't expect to regain it. Still a walker is great and so I try not to let it stop me. My thoughts are with her and Jay.
