Egg-shaped Vase with Flower and Leaves.

A vaguely autumn-themed still life image photographed yesterday. I'm currently in the throes of a stinking cold with a cough.......so I'm staying indoors for day or two.

The flower came from a pot in my front garden, the leaves I collected and dried last week (also from the garden). The background was a sheet of card from a craft shop with a subtle texture added in post processing..

The egg-shaped vase I found recently in a charity shop and liked it so much that I bought it especially to use in photos, so you'll probably be seeing it again.

Have a splendid weekend y'all.

You make so many of these great table-top scenes topping them off with beautiful photos , it is difficult to praise each one without repeating oneself. ~ I thought it a real egg at first.

I too am sat here sneezing and coughing! Not a good time for that - I was supposed to be visiting a frail relative in Kendal this weekend. I hate these bad chest colds I sometimes get as they last often for weeks and almost always lay me out until I get some super meds from my doc. Anyway, I hope you get well soon.

Cheers. Herb

ps bought a new Nikon D7500 yesterday to replace my faulty 7100. Coming next week, I hope.

Thanks Herb..............I'm pleased you enjoy my tabletop photos..!!

Sorry to hear you're not well mate...........I know what you mean, mine is mainly sinus related and I have a long history of this sort of problem. Hopefully both of us will be better in a day or so and not drag on for too long. I did a Covid test just in case, but it came up negative!

Congrats on your new camera...........hope it arrives soon and you can get out and play with it!
