Sycamore Seed

I noticed this Sycamore seed had lodged itself into the top of a rotting fence post in my garden.

The lens I used is not strictly a macro lens, but it does have a macro setting which is pretty good for this sort of subject!

Keith Burton replied to Jaap van 't Veen:

Thanks Jaap....glad you like it.

I have a 60ft tall sycamore tree in my garden, so I get hundreds of the things every year. We spend a lot of time in the spring pulling up small sycamore saplings :-)))

It is stunning, Keith. I thought at first it was the wing of a moth. The detail and textures are so very fine.
Hope your weekend is a good one..,D
