With great excitement, some friends invited me to take some photos of some native Australian orchids they had located in a nearby nature reserve. CORRECTION: I had the ID as Pencil Orchids, but these are not quite that. My friends have advised me that these are
Thin Pencil Orchids (Dendrobium teretifolium), which grow on parts of the east coast. The flowers are about 20-30mm across. See also PiP and other image of the entire plant.
