What a shame!

That’s a little dangerous to have a live wire directly touching the pole. Too bad EVERSOURCE will have to replace this nice old pole

I would imagine letting it burn could be worse problem in the long run being not many people would know about it until a pole catches on fire or maybe the house nearby. I saw someone's backyard shed catch on fire one time from a downed line during a windstorm from a 4.8kv delta line.
