Bolsover castle.... the 'Star chamber'

Large parts of this castle are ruined and open to the sky.. but surprisingly - here - the tower know as 'the little castle' is complete and re furnished - here is the 'Star chamber' named after the ceiling plaster decor and featuring many stars. This grandest of rooms is where 'William Cavendish' would receive guests to dine and be entertained. The castle itself was designed for elegant living rather than defence.
