In the streets of Postira, The parish church "Crkva Sveti Ivan Krstitelj"

The parish church "Crkva Sveti Ivan Krstitelj" is situated in an exposed position in the historical centre of Postira on the island. In the middle of the 16th century the church was built on the remains of an early Christian basilica from the 6th century. A special feature are the embrasures at the apse which were used to ward off enemies. In 1873 the clerical building was restored and rebuilt. Worth seeing are the Way of the Cross from the 18th or 19th century, drawn by three painters together, as well as some paintings of the Venetian school inside the church.

Yes a very attractive church, but I'm fascinated by the road here - it looks amazing. Are there pieces of wood across the cobbles, or are there long pieces of rock?
