Down our road!

Our 'posh' neighbours like to think they are living in, or more likely, ruling over some Near-or-Middle-East potentate!
Streets of Algete No. 22. 2nd of three tonight.
Maggie suggests 'excellent on large' and, as usual, Maggie is right!

Any plans to tackle La Maliciosa?

Andy Rodker replied to MaggsMep:

I seem to be taking most of my shots at the moment at, or near, dusk as providing more interest than the drear hazy summer light we get too often!
La Maliciosa? I was put off for the reasons described by the only English guide to these mountains, whose routes I've followed slavishly since 2011. Unfortunately her book was written in 1993, or thereabouts, and covered her walks in the previous 20 years: And, as she wrote, 'Please be aware that property rights and Spanish law change with alarming frequency so any path I mention as being walkable today (1985) may not be so in coming years'. (I paraphrase as it's from memory but it's basically correct). So true and I've really come a cropper many a time.
Still, she wrote a classic walking guide of its kind!
Jacqueline Oglesby - a retired dentist - 'Mountains of Central Spain.'
And I re-read it still - she writes so well ... a bit like you, Maggie!!

Thank you, Carol! Either that or there's something wrong with my phone-camera!
