Beach Canter

Back in the summer of 2016 we explored the Lincolnshire coast area. Here we are just to the east of the village of Alford and north of Skegness. A grey day, as it is often here and like much of this coast now, dotted with windfarms. Looks like a good place to go for a canter on the soft sand that horses seem to love.

Nice full screen, enjoy the day.

It's a lovely misty picture Herb. I like the wind turbines in the sea, but not so keen seeing them on land. I guess I will have to get used to that sight though.

Cheers, Rosa.

Herb Riddle replied to Rosalyn Hilborne:

Thought yo would like this one Rosa as you like horses I know. Yes the mist does add somewhat here and the turbines are not too bad. As you sat, perhaps better here than in our gardens.

I really like this one Herb..............the mist and gorgeous diffused light give it a very tranquil atmosphere. The wind turbines look very elegant along the horizon.

A lovely sandy beach too, deserted except for the horses and riders..........just perfect!

I know a lot of people don't like wind turbines, but I think in this case they add a touch of beauty.

Herb Riddle replied to Keith Burton:

Hi Keith. Yes you either love or hate them but we do need that extra power nowadays. Glad you liked the whole scene with the horses. As always, the beauty is with the beholder.
