Where do I start?
As some of you know - my daughter, Mandi, is here with me until the middle of August which is fantastic. She's been spoiling me by cooking my meals, washing up and cleaning etc. It's amazing. When Emily comes on Tuesday, I'm going to ask her if she'll take Mandi shopping. So I have almost 4 weeks of her being here and then - GUESS WHAT....................................!!

I'm going back to Turkey with her for just over 4 weeks!!!

I'm so proud of her travelling here all alone, considering she's agoraphobic. For the first three days of her being here, she was absolutely exhausted and very weary. Now she's feeling stronger thankfully. So the worry of hers about travelling back to Turkey on her own is no longer a concern for her and also I was worried about travelling on my own over there, and now I don't have that worry. As for coming back - I've got 2 months to think of something!!!

Meanwhile, I haven't done much resin jewellry because we've been catching up - also the Tour de France is on, which is one of her passions. The temperatures have dropped drastically this last week. Before we were basking in high temperatures of 26C (that's where I live in the south west of the UK), and suddenly it's dropped down to 15C which is damn cold for the middle of July. Mandi is thrilled to bits as she was exhausted in temps of 38C, she could hardly breathe it was so hot. So I'll find it rather hot when I go over there - but I can go for a swim, as the beach is only about 2 minutes from her home. She also has lots of pussy cats roaming around the garden so I'll thoroughly enjoy myself there.

These are a few of the recent pendants I've made.......
Mandi brought me some minute little shells, she'd collected from the beach over the last few years - which are perfect for some of the moulds I have.

These are geranium petals and the white flower weed Emily pulled up from my garden.....

These septagonal shapes have yellow petals as a background and then other little flowers added. The last one reminds me of flames looking up to the sun. Well folks, that's about it at the moment. I hope you like them - Mandi gives me some ideas too.

I hope everyone is okay - and those of you who are scorching under the extreme heat - please take care of yourselves and drink lots of water.

Will keep in touch.

You know I am happy for you having Mandi there and now the great news you’re going back with her. I hope you don’t find it too hard on you. The travel that is. And the heat. Although by time you head there it will be later in the year and hopefully the temps will be a bit cooler. Lovely new resin jewelry designs. Speak soon.

Thanks Gracie, I must admit I was very concerned about travelling to Turkey, but the fact that I'm going with her is great. Also the cost of my trip had drastically dropped, that I couldn't afford not to take advantage of them. As for the temps - it's certainly warmer than here - we're only 14C which is damn cold for July.

As for the jewellry - thanks - I'm so pleased you like them

Oh, I hope the two of you are enjoying catching up ... and all that involves, especially given what has been happening in recent months.
With any luck the weather will suit you both.

All those stunning pedants - they always look gorgeous. Those little shells are just the thing ...

Early I know, but "Bon Voyage" for the trip to Turkey.

Jenny McIntyre replied to Keith Burton:

Yes it is Keith, although poor Mandi has become affected by the air-con in the plane which has given her a really awful head cold.

For any who can see this, as I am no longer a paying member of Ipernity I write this here. After a very brief illness with her daughter by her side our Jenny has passed away. We have been friends since long before Ipernity. We video chatted and were in touch by email, post, card often. She was a lovely, gracious lady and she will be missed very much.
