Finally!
After much to-do, law breaking, lies, resignations, and sackings, the Fool in charge of this country has resigned. Honestly, I never thought he'd do it without the aid of a trebuchet. I feel now that he should not stay on as a 'caretaker' but should fade into the ether as quietly and quickly as possible.

Hopefully the new leader will help this country climb out of the awful mess that we're in at the moment and help us all get onto a better financial footing.

On that note, working a huge amount of overtime this week so that I can salt some money away for the 'planned' rise in gas/electric that's coming for me soon, thanks to the grossly inept Ofgem.

When I heard this news, I thought to myself that you would be a happy bunny to have this happen. I do worry about who'll take over though - they might be just as bad!!!! I honestly can't think of anyone in the Government that could possibly do better. We need someone we can actually trust to look after us all here - is there anyone out there?

I've avoided much of the news these days so hadn't heard. I think the really good ones who actually care stay away from the "Big" positions. I think they just stay on their local councils or states, and try to do what they can at that level. They know lead positions are maneuvered and manipulated and don't want the grief

Thanks Jenny. I share your concern. I'm not sure anyone gives a hoot about the public just how much money they can make, and how to further their own career.

I've just heard the Keir Starmer had also denied going to a party, but he was found out and yet the police didn't charge him - strange that!! Boris was but Keir wasn't!!!!

I think you've hit the nail on the head here Gracie. That's what I had been thinking.

Thanks Gracie. You could be right... I wouldn't do it, I know that.

Jenny - Probably some legality that we don't know about. 2 of Boris' new cabinet are already in trouble - one for a rude gesture to a 'baying mob', nice one, and the other for tax issues. You couldn't make it up! We don't need to lol
