Zambia - Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls Bridge Commemorative Plaque

The Victoria Falls Bridge is a combined road and rail arch bridge across the Zambezi River on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe. It is located approximately 350 m south of Victoria Falls. The bridge is the only rail link between Zambia and Zimbabwe, and one of three road links between this countries.
The bridge was built in 14 months in 1904-1905 on the initiative of the British politician and businessman Cecil Rhodes.
The bridge is a single-span steel arched structure ("parabolic arch"). The total length is 198 m, the span length is 156.5 m, the height is 128 m.
