What lovely flowers! I looked up the Desert Rose on a website here and is says "The ideal temperature range for desert rose is between 18-29°C and therefore in the UK it's best grown as a house plant", so I don't think it would survive our winters outdoors!

They can cope with 8°C in the night if during the day it goes above 15°C, Happensfew days in January, they survive.
In desert they are under great difference of temperature between night and day.
