I'm pretty sure I've never seen an almond tree in real life.........and this one looks really gorgeous. I love the dry stone wall and the the lichen too.
in Kew gardens, in a conservatory maybe?
A legend tells they were planted in the Algarve by a prince who married a Nordic princess who was in depression because she missed snow. When the trees bloomed the prince took the princess to the highest tower of their castle and she thought it was snow... and they were happy ever after !
