A dying trade here in the UK, if not completely already dead! We used to see these all the time when I was a kid, usually on some sort of tricycle with a sharpening wheel attached.
It's almost impossible to to get knives and scissors sharpened nowadays........part of the "throw away" trend I suppose!
We have him left here, but he is the only one. I have all I need to sharpen my about …. 40 knives, kitchen and pocket ones (I am a collector) but when he passes I always give him some to sharpen just to keep him working.
