This would have been an attractive door once. I like the ornate ironwork barring the windows, and the hand-shaped door knockers. I don't think that flimsy padlock and chain would keep anyone out. The bicycle looks similarly neglected and with no lock on it, I expect it will disappear soon.

Nevertheless, this was a good photo opportunity, which you have taken advantage of! A splendid image Isabel.

I have been taking photos of all tthat is neglected, derelict properties, etc.
A friend is doing a database with them for Vila Real de Santo Antonio, part of her work for the council and the historical monuments.
Indeed they are amazing opportunities for photographers!

No, it makes me very sad... all this old houses reflects a way of life erased by concrete constructions and modernity, a new way of life in which persons are more and more selfish, narcisistic, individualists...

Perhaps that's why it's so important for photographers to record this sort of thing before it disappears altogether.
