A wonderful and interesting picture, and logic puzzle...
Have you killed all the flies?
Are they scared of the yellow swatter and stay away?
Were there no flies anyway, making the swatter redundant?
Maybe a better way of keeping flies away is out of the picture?

I had just killed some, then had the idea of this for the challenge!

That is a bold swatter. I'm sure that the flies did not stand a chance against it.
