What an adventure it would be,. to backpack - just stopping for rest - food - throwing down a tent for sleep.. then carrying on.. for as far as fitness allows.. marvellous,. as I guess many will do,..
Keep well Colin and go steady - Cheers from Dj.

Colin Ashcroft replied to David G Johnson:

It’s the fitness that is the important. I suppose when young I was reasonably fit for some of the years but I can’t say I ever felt the urge to walk/hike over the other side of a mountain. I was always content to retrace my steps.

Yes there are plenty set off on the whole journey then are ones that run the whole distance - The Spine Race. People having fun. Best Wishes Colin

A beautiful landscape under a wonderfully dramatic sky. I like the earthy colours in the landscape. It looks like hard walking there Colin!

Very nicely composed and taken..!!

Colin Ashcroft replied to Keith Burton:

it does look good in some sunlit otherwise it can all look rather dark and sometimes even featureless. Chasing the light makes all the difference. I am out of practice going over the rough terrain
