Hello David, yes it’s an old stone quarry at the hilltop beyond the wood. Tinsel is a local dialect corruption of the village name Tintwistle. The valley is looking good at the moment. I am hoping for some sunshine before all the leaves drop. First frost this early morning. Best Wishes Colin
