Superbly composed Colin........such a lovely view. The landscape is really beautiful. The tree in the foreground with blossom anchors the frame nicely..!!
Thank you for all your interest in my photographs. I do keep trying to get better compositions of scenes I have seen before and occasionally they do work
Some advice I found useful when starting out was to use a tripod for landscapes. It's a pain in the bum to carry around, but it forces you to slow down and really think about your composition.
Having said that, I rarely bother with a tripod nowadays, although I do use a beanbag sometimes to rest the camera on using walls, posts etc.
Yes I have tried these things in the past and will try to use a wall or sometimes use the haversack face down camera on the flat back - this is not always successful but has been occasionally.
