I'm currently at my parents in Cornwall. My dad has a record, CD and cassette collection going into the tens of thousands. After retirement he methodically cross-referenced the lot onto a computer programme so that (as he explained to me only last week) I would more easily find something I might want to listen to. Slight problem. Where do I store all that!
It's 99% classical (1% blues). As much as I would love to have access to some magical and historic recordings, there are a few logistical issues to sort out when the time comes!
Your shot triggered my reaction, Colin. Sorry!

Colin Ashcroft replied to Andy Rodker:

Yes, I loved collecting my records but there is nobody to inherit and very few get played. When the time comes you may want to consider these people that caught my eye.

I have not contacted them as I have only a small number of classical but in your case look worth considering.

That bit of sorting out looks like it was hard work Colin..........but worth it in the end.

I do like a bit of Bowie and Elvis Costello...........and I notice you have a Wishbone Ash album there, but Classic Rock and some Heavy Metal was more my kind of thing.
