Equinox Elegy - 25

"Equinox Elegy"
The light now wanes, the scales now tip,
as shadows stretch and daylight slips.
The mind, a vault of sunlit ghost,
feasts on the past to nourish most.
The books grow thick with whispered lore,
their pages warm with summer’s core.
Yet here we dwell in twilight’s hold—
Dark Academia, dark and cold.
Haikus
1.
Equinox whispers—
light and dark in fleeting balance,
books hold summer’s glow.
2.
Ink-stained fingers trace
forgotten lines of golden hours,
dreaming in the gloom.
3.
Candlelight flickers,
mapping thoughts on yellowed pages—
autumn’s quiet storm.
4.
The clock strikes midnight.
Dust on tomes, the scent of rain—
scholarship in black.
