HFF

Locals walking along the road up to the 4300 meter Shandur Pass in the Hindu Kush, Pakistan. The locals in north Pakistan are used to walking long distances and scaling rocky paths on high mountains. This is actually a major Highway in quite good order at this point, though subject to flood, earthquake, landslide and all manner of natural events. There is no bitumen for about 150 km and it took us 8 hours in a 4WD to traverse that distance.
Have a fab Friday and a super weekend…

An amazing landscape..............and a beautifully composed image. The road makes a great leading line. The light is gorgeous...........and I love the mountain peaks either side and in the distance. The people in shot give us a good sense of scale and solitude.

I can't imagine driving for 8 hours in that sort of terrain!

A beautiful & dramatic scene, as always, Diana. Rather you than me being bounced along for 8 hours though...

The long and winding road!! Awesome landscape and I love the snow capped peaks and the road snaking it's way through the scene is just perfect. The two people on the road give you a good idea of just how immense and remote it is.

Well captured Diana. HFF and have a good weekend
