National Wattle Day

The wattle is Australia's National Flower and 1 September is National Wattle Day. It's also the first day of Spring in Australia and it promises to be hot. In eastern Australia we've just had the warmest winter on record and today in my area it reached 27C - way high for this time of year!

Gorgeous. Sounds like the same thing is happening there as to us - warm winters and springs and hot dry summers.

This is the wattle,
the symbol of our land.
You can keep it in a bottle,
or you can hold it in your hand!!

Beautiful photo :-)
