Border bench

Yes, Australia has borders - between the different States. This is the Northern Territory and South Australia border, where there is a bench (see note) and some much needed shade. As I write this, the temperature out there is over 40C. One from the archives. HBM and have a good week, everyone.

Impeccable et excellemment partagée avec cette magnifique tonalité.Les températures de l'Australie ressemblent à celles du Sud Algérien.
Bon dimanche paisible et salutaire.

40C? That's pretty unbearable, but at least you can keep in the shade and turn the air-con on presumably. Here today it's very windy and rainy and most unpleasant. I'd definitely want to be where you are George.
Belated HFF, and enjoy the summer.

Thankfully that's the temperature inland, Amelia. It's only mid-20s here on the coast.

I didn't know there were borders within Australia. And to go from one side to the other, you have to show your ID card ?? HBM George.

tiabunna replied to Christa1004:

No need for ID cards, Christa, just different regional administrations - Australia was a series of colonies which federated. While some issues (eg national finances, defence) are national, the states each separately maintain roads, provide eduction services etc. Then there are also local governments for towns etc! .
