Silo Art in Tungamah
Over recent years in Australia, there has been a blooming of large scale artworks on grain silos and watertanks. This has not only made these structures more interesting, but has led to a growth in tourist visits to many places that otherwise wuld remain unvisited. This adds interest to country trips and also helps businesses in small towns such as Tungamah.
This artwork was the first in north-eastern Victoria and was painted by artist Sobrane Simcock in 2018. It shows dancing Brolgas (at right), a Kookaburra (centre) and a Galah at left.
