the torch in front of my house; whilst everyone I know is cynical about the games, both for the waste of money and the unpleasant commercial aspects, the streets were lined with curious onlookers, whose enjoyment seemed unforced, being unfazed by the idiotic overkill of the sponsors floats that tried to outshine the torch
