last will and testament, st.mary's church, finchley, london
this is the 1509 will and charitable bequests of thomas sanney who wished to be buried in the churchyard here, with chantry bequests for his family's souls. he leaves houses in finchley to pay for charity to the poor and for prayers "whilst the world shall last" and requires that this will, made whilst of sound mind and sick body, should be engraved on a stone for all to see. its on the north wall, and is fairly rare.
