st.paul's church , hammersmith
this monument, somewhat lost in the n.w. corner of the nave, is probably the most interesting thing here. it was erected by sir nicholas crisp in the 1660s , to be both a memorial of king charles I, and to hold his own heart after his death in 1665. the memorial is probably by jasper latham, the bronze bust of charles is probably by le sueur
