the parclose screen in the south aisle is c14, with contemporary colour., and plenty of different tracery patterns. the dec. screen has some original shafts with rings, painted with spiral stripes. such lithic designs of shafts with bases and capitals were about to be replaced with mullions which grew from woodwork rather than masonry
