The Poppies are in the Field

This photo from 2018 could be taken today, but I didn't stop to do it. This section of Alton Baker Park, along the Willamette River between Eugene and Springfield, Oregon, is a former garbage dump with about a meter of topsoil covering decades of waste, some of it toxic. Trees don't grow here but wildflowers and grasses like it. But don't ask me what that means.
