Sunrise Flight

...really is more important than the final destination.

Up at 6am this morning. Pitch dark still outside, with the wind howling & the rain dripping down my bedroom window. I knew I'd have my camera with me on the off chance it would clear & I might catch a glimpse of the sunrise later. I was driving by my favourite field in County Wexford at just the right time about an hour after I left home.

It turned out to be one Journey I am very glad I made.

I'm also really glad I had the camera in the boot of my car. A quick photographic pitstop - then on again towards Waterford. It was lashing rain five minutes on down the road. That's Ireland in November. Ye pays yer money & yiz takes yer chance... :)

I have this in RAW too so when I get round to processing this properly & not very crudely in Picasa as you can see here it'll look a lot nicer, without that lensflare at the bottom etc etc...

Amazing series displaying your tracking of the sun and on another of these pictures you left your signature, a bird in flight ( on this one too, but differently)
I hope you didn't run a risk for your retinas if your focused your eyes on the orb. ( I am faintly scared of looking at the illuminating circle!)
