The road to Simpsons Gap
On the road to Simpsons Gap, one of the many gorges worth seeing in the West MacDonnell National Park near Alice Springs. When we arrived at the visitor car park there were only two more vehicles. No coaches and other tourists to be seen anywhere, so we've had the gap all on our own for a while until a ranger arrived. He kindly offered us an exclusive tour and pointed out to animals that we wouldn't have noticed otherwise, like some well camouflaged rock wallabies. I often look back upon this great experience.

A very nicely taken photo though, with beautiful colours and light. I hate to say it, but the road does make a lovely leading line :-)
