A Foucault pendulum is a beautifully simple experiment that gives direct, visible proof that the Earth is rotating. It swings in a constant plane while the Earth turns beneath it, so the swing direction appears to rotate over time. Quoted from Wikipedia

This Foucault pendulum is not moving. This could mean one of three things:

Glasgow is on the Equator

The Earth has stopped spinning

It's knackered
