The neighbours’ blue peacock watches over and protects the countryside day and night. He comes and goes whilst keeping watch over my mother’s land. My mother was born and raised here. His call gives away where he is hiding. Early in the morning, he wakes everyone up. His call heralds rain and even storms with thunder and lightning. He seeks out nearby vegetable gardens and greenhouses, as well as tall trees. He is a welcome visitor who creates a lively atmosphere. He is even taller than the water tower ~ quite an impressive sight. Everyone stops to look at how high up in the tree he is
